Toby Stevens is a prolific and versatile art director with over 17 years of experience working on a wide variety of film and TV productions. He emerged from an art college education with a degree in graphic design and began life in the industry, first as a runner and drawing storyboards, then moving on to assist production designers and art directors, gaining a wide skill set in all aspects of the art department.

Over the years he has clocked up credits on many TV commercials, music videos, television series, online content and features. He has experience designing live events such as a showcase set for Stella Artois at the Cannes Film Festival. Also, the Production Designer on several ‘Secret Cinema’ events – Blade Runner, Lawrence Of Arabia, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and The Red Shoes, Toby can illustrate his ideas with a deft drawing skill. He has an inherent instinct for good design whether it be visualising retro or contemporary scenarios, the over-stylised or the hyper-real. Toby collaborates well and efficiently with his team, whether on location or in the studio and tackles each project with enthusiasm, flair and imagination, keeping a watchful eye on the budget whilst working closely to the director’s brief.
